Coexistence
Our senses always offer only a fragment of the world. Within that partial view, the human and the non-human, the natural and the artificial, or the virtual and the physical share a single scene. I follow the flow of relationships that emerge in the spaces where these disparate worlds meet.
Rather than asking what exists, I trace where perception falters and stops. Different elements are placed side by side without hierarchy, momentarily reaching an equilibrium. These works do not aim to explain coexistence; instead, they reveal the state of being together at the very edge where boundaries tremble.
공존 (Korean)
감각은 언제나 세계의 일부만을 건넨다. 그 불완전한 시야 안에서 인간과 비인간, 자연과 인공, 혹은 가상과 현실은 하나의 장면에 놓인다. 나는 이 이질적인 세계들이 마주하는 접점에서 일어나는 관계의 흐름을 따라간다.
무엇이 존재하는가보다 어디서 감각이 멈추는가를 더듬는다. 서로 다른 것들은 위계 없이 나란히 놓이며 잠시 균형을 이루거나 서로에게 스며들기도 한다. 이 작업들은 공존을 설명하기보다, 경계가 흔들리는 지점에서 함께 존재하는 상태를 드러낸다.
